New: this stand can now also be supplied in fraké.

Fraké is also known as African oak. It is a fairly fast growing durable type of wood which has been given a dark walnut-like color by a special heat treatment. When treated with, for example, Danish oil, the wood gets an expressive look.

.

The stand (oak or fraké) consists of a plate on a slightly recessed base and is suitable for the Duyfken, the Statenjacht and Willem Barentsz' Expedition Ship.

The top is made out of two or three smaller slats glued together.

Please order the stand for the model you have, as the holds are made to fit the specific ship's hull.

  • Length: 35 cm
  • Width: 14 cm
  • Height: ~3 cm (excluding supports)

The base is composed from two or three slats, glued to each other. The supports are slender shaped laser-cut oak parts which can be glued or screwed onto the plate. The wood is otherwise untreated and can be painted or stained or put in the oil as desired. A strip of red felt is added for the supports.

Because this is a handmade product delivery time is slightly longer. Also the sizes mentioned may vary slightly.
