Last Saturday we attended the Historic Ship Model Expo at the Scheepvaartmuseum in Amsterdam — and once again it was fantastic to meet so many enthusiastic builders and enthusiasts! Many thanks to everyone who visited the Kolderstok table and shared their passion with us.
Demand for Kolderstok models is currently higher than ever, and our production line is running at full capacity. To catch up we temporarily set the availability of all models to zero, but it is now possible to order a number of variants through the website again. Please note a provisional lead time of approximately 8–10 weeks. We are working hard to scale up our production capacity and appreciate your patience and understanding.
It’s not only busy in production—development of new products is also in full swing. The 17th-century cannon has already been announced, and we aim to make significant progress on it this year. In addition, we are continuously improving the various ornaments for different models—including those for the Zeven Provinciën—to further enhance quality.
And… we’re starting something entirely new: a line of miniatures! The figurines will be of crew members found on and around 17th-century ships, with authentic clothing and appearance, available in 1:50 and 1:72 scales. We expect to present the first set very soon, so you can make your Kolderstok model even more authentic and full of life.
